Love it!

This app has made it so I can just focus on the running. The training is useful and effective. I really like how it changes the tempo of my music to help match my pace. I love the interval training and that I can adjust those intervals anytime I want.

Love this app!

Ive tried a few couch to 5k apps and always got frustrated and quit after a few weeks because it wasnt flexibility to my abilities. With this app I can change my walk-run ratio to what Im comfortable with. Ive made it through the whole program and will be running my first 5k in 2 weeks!

Good idea, incomplete app

This app has such a good start but wanes. Jeff’s program is 15 weeks, the app has only 8 so I repeated week 8 day 3 MANY times and, of course, it was off. I emailed to see if there was another 1/2 but got no reply. I would try their apps again but only if I could be assured it had all of what was suppose to be there. If you only do 1/2 of Jeff’s programs say so.

I am just a beginner runner, well, maybe a little farther than that, but, I had tried two other running 5K apps last year and while I completed one and it was a lifesaver keeping me going and on track, I prefer this app way more! I am not really into speed times at this point, I am just still trying to make running a regular part of my life all year round; and I am using running for weight loss more than the accomplishment of being able to say that I can run 5K. Additionally, I have a movement disorder related to Parkinsons (dystonia) in my hands, arms and calves. I dont get the tremors...instead I get painful muscle spasms which prevent me from running long periods of time. That being said, this program works perfect for my situation as I can fully adjust my run/walk ratio. I currently can run for 5 minutes at a time before my calves lock up, then a brief walk and sensory tricks disengages the spasm. I could not do this with other programs, I had to follow their set ratios and found myself messing up the programmed run time. Then, as a bonus, with this app the music speeds up and slows down to match my pace and I get to hear cool tips from Mr. Galloway...both of which was not in the other programs. Since I will probably never worry about my time (I am just still grateful I can still run!), this app allows me to go at my own pace. I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Sigh

Its hard for me to give this app a favorable review when one of its main functions ceases to work properly. I was about 5 miles into my 5.5 mile run when the run/walk ratio stopped working and kept me at a perpetual walking pace. If this were not an issue, I would rate the app 4 stars.

Great app

Ive for about 10 5k training Apps and this one is one of the best Ive ever had. I like his method better then couch to 5k and I love how it ups or downs the tempo of the music to how you should be running.

Latest version

I used to love this app and it helped me to run a 5K recently. But the latest upgrade doesnt allow me to stream music from another app. When Jeffs cue interrupts the music, it doesnt allow the streaming music to restart without manually pressing the play button. That makes this app very hard to use.

Fix this app

Been using this app for 2 years but the latest fix wont allow a podcast streaming. This needs to be fixed asap!!! I actually abandoned my run this morning as I was totally frustrated!

Best running app!

This has been the best app to get me running. I love it! I wish there were more running apps from Lolo.

I purchased the whole bundle & cant listen to my podcasts!

Waaaahhhh! I was so excited to buy the bundle and improve on my 5K, then train for a 10k and a half, but now, Im so bummed! All I listen to while running are podcasts and I cant do this (at least not in any easy way whatsoever!). Looks like older versions allowed this .... developers, please fix ASAP!!

Great app

Ive been a walker/jogger for longer than I care to admit. This app is the first one Ive tried that I know my running style is improving, my times are getting better, and its working. What works? For the 5K training, theres a choice between "new" or "experienced", you can put your desired pace, and set the interval spacing. Each days workout is clearly stated, and the progression feels very appropriate. The music is techno-beat, or you can use your own. The readout is clear, and readable while running-always a bonus! For me I think the best part is that Jeff Galloway has a very friendly style, and his voice, with a slight Southern tinge, is encouraging, without letting you off the hook. I wouldnt respond well to a military-style coaching, which this isnt. If "barking orders" is your style, then this probably isnt the app for you. I am a fan, and am considering pushing myself into the 10K or maybe even the half-marathon. Im definitely sticking with Lolo for coaching.

Needs some work

I really like the approach to the training schedule, but the App could use some refinement. The big bummer for me is that it doesnt work with AirPlay. The coaching plays and the interface will mirror through an Apple TV, but no music plays. Even worse, I have to quit and relaunch the App to get music to play at all after trying to use AirPlay. I wanted to use the App on my treadmill without ear buds, but no joy.

Great app

I am a lifelong walker, but like to train for one 5K I like to run in the spring. This app helps me to gradually train for it! I start out huffing and puffing, and by the end of the 7-8 weeks, Im doing much better, trying to finish strong. The beat sync is cool, you know when to walk or run, and he is very encouraging.

Stopped posting to Facebook

This app worked great for a month but then it stopped posting to Facebook. Ive run all the trouble steps I can think of and nothing has helped.

Great for new runners but has its problems...

I love the actual running portion of the app. Jeff Galloway has a great method that is actually getting me into running! but the longer I use it the more frustrated I grow with the fact that it doesnt work with pandora or iTunes Radio. The rest of the lolo apps I have do and Im not sure why this one does not. I even tried turning off the beat synch function. Ill probably just switch to an interval timer for the short run days so I can listen to the radio instead.

Galloway method good, app bad

I am a big fan of Jeff Galloway and his methods, however, this app falls flat. It is not intuitive or easy to use, and needs to be kept unlocked while running. This sounds ok, but when actually done, its not. You need to lock your phone to keep all kinds of apps from opening and calls or texts being made. Its also loses its functionality when you run with podcasts, which is what many runners do. For these reasons, I say dont waste your money on this app, and find some other way to use Jeff Galloways tested and true running methods. Two thumbs down to this app.

Best 5K App

Ive been using this app for about 2 months. I was very pleased from day 1. Id been trying to get the hubby to try it out, because I knew, from my experience, it would make a runner out him. Hes not on the sofa, but definitely anti-run. Well, today he gave it a try... He has already, enthusiastically, planned for Day 2; running gear and all! This is a fantastic app!

So motivating!

Been using this app for over a year & have nothing but good things to say. This app (5k) is great for beginning or slower runners. I am a Jeff Galloway devotee, but this app would be helpful for anyone who wants to use the run/walk method. What I like is the ability to tailor the pace to your needs. I also like how you can switch between treadmill & outdoor running. Plus its good to be able to swap weeks and runs, and redo a run as many times as you like. What I REALLY like is how you can use your own music and the app speeds it up or slows it down to match the interval. You can also speed up a songs pace midrun. And then there is the huge bonus of Jeff Galloways coaching. I had been running with a group & this app gives me better information and motivation than I ever got from the group coach. Those of us who are slow are often left in the dust. But no more - I feel like Im getting actual useful information that I can use in every run. This 12:00 (with a goal of 11:00) pacer gives

I feel like a rock star!

If you love it when a song comes on your iPhone and matches exactly the pace you are running, then this app is for you. You load your own music on, it determines the BPM, then selects the right song for your pace. And since its a Galloway app you probably have walk intervals, right? No problem, it adjusts the tempo just enough that it now matches the pace of your walk. Its easy to configure your pace and run/walk ratio, and just as easy to adjust them while on the run. And if you have any issues the Lolo customer service is great. Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this app!

Baby to 5K!

I was a committed runner for years. After burning out after my fourth marathon, I took an indefinite period of time off (and had my first baby during that time). I have now turned the corner and am excited to embrace my old love again (with a stroller). Jeff Galloway has made it SO manageable getting back after not running for 2.5 years. I actually look forward to every run! I feel so empowered. I am surprised I can even say these words - the idea of running seemed unbelievably daunting before finding this app. DEFINITELY worth the tiny price tag!
